Style discussions and concept phase

Timberworks would then meet with the clients or their designer to discuss their ideas for exposed timberwork in their project.  We would discuss styles, timber types, any pictures they may have come across or any other ideas they have.  Subsequently Timberworks designers would come up with some Post and Beam Concept drawings which would be refined and adapted until the clients are happy with them.

Once a Post and Beam design concept has been finalized and a budget agreed to, Timberworks would then engineer the frame and supply an Engineers Producer Statement for building consent.  Timberworks would then finalise the timber supplier and purchase the timber on the clients behalf as soon as possible.  The longer the seasoning period for the timber the better.  Once Building Consent has been granted, Timberworks can start the detailed shop drawings as shown.
