Barns

The renaissance of post and beam or Crafted Timberframe construction owes much to the historic barns still standing in Europe and North America.  Lovingly hand-crafted from large timbers there are countless examples still standing.  Provided the roof has been kept in good condition and the timbers have stayed dry they are being recycled or restored into new barns or homes.

Due to the lack of existing old post and beam frames in New Zealand, Timberworks makes its post and beam frames from new timbers.  If a client has access to timbers which could be recycled we would be open to discussing their potential use.
