King-Post Truss with Collar-Tie
A Collar-Tie is where the tie-beam or bottom chord has been raised and jointed into the principle rafters to give more headroom. The trusses then sit onto the wall-plate and are fixed down with steel fixings.
Our simple trusses that are built into some of the Pre-Designed Frames all use a collar tie, but without the King-Post.
This open-plan living space is brought to life by use of a King-post truss with collar-tie
